The Sierra Leone Land Alliance (SLLA) is a platform for alliance of civil society organizations and individuals, lobbying and advocating for land policies that address the land rights of the poor in Sierra Leone.
We strive to promote people centered land governance that recognizes and protects the rights of the poor and vulnerable through advocacy for fair land laws, policies and empowering rights holders for sustainable livelihoods in Sierra Leone.
To realize land governance for and with people at all level, responding to the needs and protecting the rights of those who live on and from the land in Sierra Leone.
Increased land rights awareness among poor women, men, children, and other marginalized groups· Lobby and advocate for fair land laws and policies to protect and promote the land rights of poor women, men, children and other marginalized groups· Effective participation of members in the Alliance's programs, and enhanced collaboration
Increased land rights awareness among poor women, men, children, and other marginalized groups· Lobby and advocate for fair land laws and policies to protect and promote the land rights of poor women, men, children and other marginalized groups· Effective participation of members in the Alliance's programs, and enhanced collaboration with The Ministries of Lands Housing and Country Planning, National Land Commission, the Environment., Mines and Mineral Resources, Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security, Tourism and Culture, Local Government and Councils, Office of The Administrator and Registrar General, Fisheries and Marine Resources and other institutions including The UN and Diplomatic missions in Sierra Leone.· Rural communities empowered to manage their own community forests sustainably to meet the majority of their timber demands and other forest goods and services, derive economic benefits from the sale of forest products and services, and contribute to a reduction in rural poverty.· Efficiency and effectiveness in the planning and management of the Alliances programs
